In the interest of saving dollhairs for our schools first game day of the year (it's away, but still a big deal on a Saturday to watch on TV), we all stayed in to watch the USC/TAMU game. Now I'm the idiot night owl that can't sleep. What are the rest of ya'll up to?

Well, I watched the HAWKS Vs Raiders game, and the preseason sucks, because a def/off made of pure secondaries fucking sucks. Hawks lost, but GO HAWKS ANYWAY

I watched most of the Bears game, only because I wanted to see Lynch get the rock a few times. I wasn't really interested in watching my Bears play their 3rd stringers/guys that are most likely going to get cut vs. CLE first/second team offense.

Yeah. I mean, preseason doesn't really matter, because it's essentially seeing how good your secondaries and tertiary guys are, and then cutting a bunch of them to fit into a 53-player-sized box of mandates. Oh, and you get to warm up your starters a bit.

I'm graduating in December from college and don't have Friday classes, extremely convenient. It's 100% humidity here right now, and was 93* F last night at 9pm. I feel your pain.

Pre-season is more of an "OH MY GOD FOOTBALL IS FINALLY BACK" thing for me. It means nothing but it's so great to have it back. Same thing with hockey pre-season.

My OH MY GOD FOOTBALL IS FINALLY BACK moment is saved for when the Ducks play. I mean, sometimes money is involved, but mostly it's just guys playing ball for the sake of playing ball, and some for an education, so the college ball is better for me, because I can actually understand the calls the refs make. The rules are no-nonsense, there-for-safety-of-players kind of rules, because these guys actually have a future. Some of them are playing for a scholarship for their education, so it's important that we keep their brains safe. That's why I prefer college ball. Also, Oregon has the best uniforms ever, and no-one can convince me otherwise.
